C.C. Designs Christmas Tag no.7

I really have to say I ADORE  the dies from C.C. Designs!  They do a perfect job every time and they are extremely versatile, if you like to think outside the box!  I started this tag (and no.6 too) by cutting the tag with the clipboard of the school supplies die. Then I used one of Amy R sentiments (from the Happy Holidays set) to stamp the sentiment on the bottom of the tag.  I used the holly die from C.C. Designs as well to add a bit of decoration.  I used distress ink ( frayed burlap) to ink the edges...that's it folks;)

Have a super great weekend with all your family that ya can't choose and your friends that you have chosen as family!  Happy crafting y'all!

C.C. Designs Christmas Tag no. 6

OH MY GOSH!  Have you been to the store?  It's Thanksgiving weekend in America and they are celebrating in style!  Loads of sales all weekend!  It starts Friday- www.ccdesignsrubberstamps.com it's a great time to get the gift your hubby just might forget about.....just sayin;)

Now onto another tag....  This stamp is from the Christmas trio pack called Vintage Winter.  I stamped it with Staz-On and used watercolor paper.  I watercolored it using Distress Markers.  Then I masked the image using post it paper tape and used a crafters companion stencil. I love Golden products and I used their moulding paste to create the circles.  I then covered the "snow" with Diamond Dust glitter and I peeled the mask off.  I set it aside to dry and it was certainly dry enough in about 20 minutes (I had enough time to fold a basket of laundry and create the red snowflake tag). I also used copic cardinal red to color the cranberries.  While I had the paste out I also added a bit to the branch, creating the perfect Christmas feeling!

Hope you have a wonderful Thanksgiving to one and all!  I know I have a ton of things to be thankful for!  Happy crafting y'all!

C.C. Designs Christmas Tag no. 5

Well since I took awhile to post the last tag I thought .....WHAT TA HECK - let's post another one for a bit of inspiration.  For this tag I used Rhea's stitched circles.  I cut 2 circles from the same cardstock and used the scoreboard to crease a 1/4 inch folding top.  Then using  Scotch quick dry wet glue pasted the top onto the creased section thereby creating a top folding tag.  I used a Snowflake die to decorate the front; adding a large pearl from my stash to liven it up a tiny bit.

This would be another easy mass produced tag as it is just a matter of getting your paper and die cutting machine ready for mass production.  I hope you all have a wonderful day and get loads of family time in with your loved ones.  I'm heading outside (with about 50 layers on) to play in the snow with my 5 year old!  Happy crafting y'all!
Cheers

C.C. Designs Christmas Tag 4

I've been missing in action because of a strep throat and infected ears...groan!  I LOVE winter...,not. Well I'm slowly getting back around and feeling like I should be posting again.  Today's tags were by far the easiest and simplest to mass produce. I used White cardstock and Doodlebug Designs doilies to create these. (Did you know the doilies are on sale now...oh gush they are soooo stinking cute!).  I used scotch quick dry adhesive and cut them out using Rhea's stitched circle dies. I chose ink from a bunch of old cat eye and Momento ink spots to closely match the color and added a bit around the edges.  I used some doodlebug twine from a 4th of July package I had bought when it was on sale (C.C. designs has a great clearance section) to create the string hanger and viola another bunch of tags all completed and ready for Christmas action!
Have a Craft Happy day folks!
Ps I made a third one that was purple however my cat, Nemo decided he liked the purple best for a toy!
Cheers

C.C. Designs: Christmas Tag No. 3

Today's tag is one of my favourites so far!  I loved getting the watercolours out and coloring this cute Holiday Penguin.  Ok,ok I was wanting to try a easy travel watercolour and used the Crayola markers that are my daughters.  They worked perfectly and are so easy to paint in a hurry.  I just colored on an acrylic block- used a water filled brush Faber castell, which of course I got from C.C. Designs and colored away.  I added some Christmas Red Stickles to his Rudolph nose and a little Glossy Accents on the bell.  I used a light blue to create the cool shadow around the cute little penguin and Pumice Stone for the ground.

I actually used dies from stamping up to cut the stars out.  I used Recollections school bus yellow cardstock and artist's Loft watercolour paper.  I wanted to use a thinner watercolour paper to create the tag because I already had a child's gift in mind for this cute little addition to my Holiday tags.  I hope you are ready for some stamping fun!  If you create any tags be sure to post them on the C.C. Designs Facebook Page so we can all see your fantastic work!  I look forward to any and all your creative work!

Don't forget to share the love!
Happy crafting y'all

Christmas Tag No. 2 for C.C. Designs

Did you ever wonder just how something is done and then blam-o your brain figures it out.  I have watched a few videos and thought modelling paste looks fun but can I really make it look nice- Answer is Yes You Can!  The white paste spreads like gritty butter and gives a wonderful texture to any project I have seen or used it on.

I used Rodney's Ride to create this tag which can be found at C.C. Designs.  He has got to be the cutest reindeer!  My mind immediately went to a sentiment for a card- Got Keys?.......Will Travel!  I was lucky enough to grab the Doodlebug Designs: frosty Friends Paper Pack which I used to paper piece Rodney's Car.  I Copic coloured the image on C.C. designs 110 lb paper and popped it up on dimensionals for added punch and pizazz:). I just used a sponge dauber to add some color to the background and used Amy R's Freezin' Season to stamp the sentiment.  I used Doodlebug Designs Lily White Sequins to add a little bling. I think this little guy would capture the heart of any present lover:)

This was an especially fun tag to put together because I loved paper piecing the reindeer car and it was fun to play with stuff I had kinda forgot about (modelling paste). I hope you too get to grab a product that has been sitting in a drawer and dust it off.  Have a Crafty day folks and remember to come back tomorrow for the next clue in our 12 Days of Christmas Tags.
Cheers :)

Tags Galore: Santa's Pouch

Hello out there in craft land....
Is this not THE best time of the year?  Really though, a person digs out the glitter and glue and perhaps a little paper, Okay maybe a lot and presto bamo you have some homemade items to give away at Christmas.  Loooove it

There is so many new things in the works at C.C. Designs!  Eeeek let me tell you that between the new creations, new store and newness everywhere there are great things a happening.  Today I decided to use one of the cutest dies ever....this die was created by Christine (owner) at C.C. Designs.
Santa's Belt is just too cute to pass up. I grabbed the idea from Pinterst but  wanted a tag that had a present inside- sometimes the little ones forget to read the tags....and sometimes even the adults are just as excited and they don't either....but if there is yummy incentive who wouldn't want to have a little chocolate to start holiday mornings off with a bang?!!

If you are following along with us at C.C. Designs then you knew the tag would be red...and I sure do hope you want to play along.  This is just for fun and no pressure on who has the best.  Please be sure to post your creation.

I started this by creating a pattern because I wanted to ensure my cuts would be even.  After creating a pattern then I used a scallop punch for the upper neck cuff or the end of Santa's beard....wherever your imagination takes you.  I had Recollections black buttons and used some Glue Dots to secure them onto the paper.  Next I used the Fairwee Tiny Boarder Die for the bottom cuff and then die cut the belt.   I used Velcro to fasten the belt to the back because I did not want to see a giant bump on the front- even though it may have been easier to open....but it does make it sweeter if you have to struggle a tiny bit.

The inside was created using Big Christmas Wishes from Amy R.  She has lots of Christmas and Holiday stamps to choose from and they are super affordable.  I used a doily inside to have a pouch for the candy or treat to stay in; however, if I was creating many of these I would choose a paper that is more hardy and perhaps use the edge to decorate the pouch.  A personal note can easily be added to the left hand side of the tag.  I hope you enjoyed this tag for the first day of Christmas tags at C.C. Designs.

You can find C.C. Designs on Facebook at:  https://www.facebook.com/groups/ccdesignsrubberstamps/
hope to see you there...psssst .....did you know that if we reach 1500 members we will be having another party ....woot woot ...happy dance.....woot woot....
Happy crafting y'all
cheers

Friendly Winter Wishes

I love Wee stamps and when I seen the DT call I thought self- just maybe you should give it a try....so here I am- giving it a try.  I have scrapbooked for almost 12 years but just in the last three or four years have I started making cards.

I started by using Friendship is the Greatest Gift and I used stitched circles from Rhea's Diezyne Dies (C.C. Designs) and cut the stamped image out.  Then I coloured the image.......which took two days between loads of laundry, sick kids, Sparks and school stuff ....oh my....lol.  Then I used Doodlebug and Authentic papers to add some color.  I love the Maya Road Wrinkle Ribbon and just had to use it on this card.  After cutting out some snowflakes and burlap I decided the bow needed a pin with a bit of decoration (prima flowers, sparkly gems and a bit of Golden paste for fake snow).  I added icicles to the background, glued it all together and Bob's Your Uncle (where I come from that's slang for it's done)!

The inside of the card is completed with 3 snowflakes falling from the side.  I wish I was the type of crafter who loved to put a lot of "stuff" on my cards but generally they are a simple version of me...lol
Happy crafting y'all
Cheers

Reindeer Love

I started this card by coloring with copics.  I love coloring with copics because everytime I pick them up I learn something new! I dotted the image for texture and I have to admit that the dots do,create loads of visual interest.

I used some digital stamps fromWhimsie Doodles whom I have been a huge fan of for a long time :). The artist is Canadian and whoooo-ra for Canadian talent.

I used Doodlebug Designs Christmas Cheer 6 x 6 paper pad.  I freehand cut the snow mounds and inked the top with ice blue.  Then I used a signo gel pen to create stitches around the edges.  Using a 1 inch circle punch and a heart punch I created the center sentiment.  I used Staz-On to stamp the Amy R sentiment and then glossy accents to cover the entire circle.
The sequins are blue jeans from doodlebug designs.  Christmas love is all around and reindeer are no exception, after all even Rudolph had parents...lol. Hope you enjoyed another copic coloring and card making by moi!  Happy crafting folks!
Cheers ;)
